    1. Upgrade CAVS Songbook Firmware:
      June 13, 2024:

      2. Upgrade Instruction:

      • Download the upgrade zip file into your phone or tablet.
      • Connect the phone or tablet to the 205G Plus player administration page, 192.168.0.100:3500\admin.
      • Press the Setting button on the left column.
      • Press the Browse button and select the upgrade zip file.
      • Press the Upgrade button to start upgrading and when done, press OK to the “Upgrade successful” popup message.
      • Wait for the Songbook page to restart.

    2. Upgrade CAVS 205G Plus Firmware:

      Upgrade Instruction:

      • Download the Upgrade zip file from the link above.
      • Unzip the file to find AP_ROMH.BIN file inside.
      • Copy the AP_ROMH.BIN file onto a USB flash drive or a SD card which is formatted FAT32.
      • Connect the CAVS 205G USB player to a TV and power on the TV and the player.
      • Insert the USB flash drive or the SD card into the CAVS 205G Plus player.
      • Using the remote control, press MODE and select F. Drive. A window SMART UPGRADE will appear on the TV.
      • Select “< o >” and press Enter.
      • Upgrade will begin. DO NOT POWER OFF DURING UPGRADE. Powering off during Upgrade can cause serious damage to the player which is not covered under CAVS warranty.
      • When done, the disc tray will open. Take out the USB flash drive or the SD card with the upgrade BIN file from the CAVS 205G Plus player.
      • Power off the CAVS 205G Plus player.
      • Power on the CAVS 205G Plus player. The disc tray will close and the new firmware will be activated.

    The new CAVS 205G Plus is ideal for both home and professional entertainment settings. Its front panel boasts large back-lit buttons, ensuring effortless operation even in low-light conditions. Also the customer interface displayed on the connected phones and tablets is intuitive and simple to navigate, enhancing the overall user experience.

    USER FRIENDLY

    The CAVS 205G Plus includes a network router and QR codes for easy connectivity. Once powered on, the player will automatically connect to the router. You can then scan the QR codes with your phone or tablet to establish a connection with the player.

    Using your phones and tablets, you can select, reserve, and play songs. You can also search for songs via Voice Command by speaking the title or artist’s name.

    With the ability to store tens of thousands of songs, controlling the CAVS 205G Plus player with your phones and tablets is almost essential. Printing traditional paper songbooks becomes impractical due to the sheer number of pages required, especially when sorted by title, artist, and more.

    Despite this, the CAVS 205G Plus player retains the option to play songs using the front panel buttons or the remote control.

    LOADING SONGS

    The CAVS 205G Plus player offers versatile playback options, including songs from compact discs, USB flash drives, and SD cards. To facilitate song loading, it includes the MCG Manager freeware, capable of storing up to 64,000 songs on a flash drive/SD card, and up to 500,000 songs on a 2TB hard drive. To download the program and its instruction, go to MCG Manager. With the MCG Manager, each song loaded can play instantly without any waiting time on the CAVS 205G Plus player.

    TRADITIONAL AND INNOVATIVE

    The CAVS 205G Plus player offers several traditional features via connectors on the back panel:

    • COAXIAL: Allows for digital audio output to a digital mixer or soundboard.
    • COIN: Facilitates connection to a bill/coin acceptor for Pay-for-Song or Pay-for-Time functionality.
    • SCORE: Enables scoring of singers in contests.
    Additionally, the CAVS 205G Plus player has an HDMI output connector that consolidates video, music, and microphone outputs into a single HDMI cable for easy TV connection. This is made possible by an internal digital mixer. For users with traditional TV, amplifier, and speaker setups, the player also includes RCA connectors for composite video and stereo mixed-down audio.
