CAVS KX-880 Digital Karaoke Mixer

CAVS KX-880 Digital Karaoke Mixer is a professional multi-channel processor with 32-bit high performance DSP and 24-bit AD/DA 48 KHz converter. It has 2 Audio and 4 microphone inputs. It has RCA, Optical, and XLR outputs. It is specially customized to the CAVS Karaoke players for integrated control that can also extend to wireless devices such as E-Songbooks, mobile phones, and tablets.
 

CAVS KX-880 Karaoke mixer integrates with the following karaoke plsyers:

  • JB-199 IV Online, JB-199 mini II, PlayCDG Online - 4th Gen.
  • JB-199 III Premier, PlayCDG KJ Deluxe 64 LT - 3rd Gen.
  • CAVS Karaoke Laptop, Karaoke Touch Screen players - 3rd and 4th Gen.

Be sure to upgrade the karaoke player to the latest program version.

Connect the karaoke mixer using an enclosed RS232 cable, with the RS232 end going to the karaoke mixer and the USB-A end going to the karaoke player. If needed, use a USB HUB to expand the available USB connectors on the karaoke player.

Use an RCA R/L cable to connect the audio output of the karaoke player to the audio input (AUX1 or AUX2) of the karaoke mixer.

USE XLR cables to connect the audio outputs XLR MR/ML of the karaoke mixer to the your sound system which may be an amplifier with speakers or powered speakers.

Connect the wired or wireless microphones to the MIC IMPUT jacks of the karaoke mixer. There are 4 input jacks on the karaoke mixer, 2 in front and 2 in back.

Connect the karaoke mixer to 110V-120V AC power outlet using an enclosed power supply cable.

Next, in the Control Panel of the karaoke program, go to Tools > Mixer.

A popup window will appear. Select KX880 Controls tab.

To fill in the Serial Setup details on the left side, go to the Device Manager in Windows.

Go to Ports > USB-to-Serial CH340 Comm Port.

Right click on the USB-Serial CH340 Comm Port and select Properties. Copy the infomration that appears to the Serial Setup.

Next in the Mixer Settings window, check Enable Mixer and check the controls on the right side to be displayed in the Customer Interface. Click OK.

The karaoke mixer is now connected and ready for use. Open the Customer inteface from the control monitor or E-Songbook. You should see the Mixer button in the display. If not, restart or refresh the customer interface.

Click on the Mixer button for the controls.
